An estimated delivery date will be provided after your order is placed.

These dates vary due to carrier shipping practices, delivery location and the items you order. Products may also be delivered in separate shipments.

Delivery dates noted apply to orders placed by 3:00 p.m. EST and where credit approval and product availability are confirmed by 5:00 p.m. on the same business day (Monday through Friday, and closed some Holidays) that the order is placed. 

Items shipped directly from the vendor may require an earlier order placement time. You will be notified of the estimated delivery date when you place your order.

Most of our deliveries are between the hours of 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, M-F excluding holidays.

To get an exact delivery price, add the item to you cart, then click "get shipping quote" and you can see what the charge is-without any obligation to buy.

For your security and protection, it is best to have someone available to sign for your order between the hours of 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, M-F, excluding holidays. 

We recommend that if you are ordering materials that weigh less than 120 lbs that FedEx Ground is the best choice.  If you are shipping products that exceed 120 lbs, or need handrails and millwork longer than 8 foot, LTL Common Carrier is the choice. FedEx will not ship lengths greater than 8 foot for any of their services. LTL Common Carrier makes a distinction between residential and commercial deliveries. Commercial it is assumed the customer has a loading dock, lift gate, or forklift services and are not pre-notified about deliveries. Residential Common Carrier is as the name implies and someone *must* be present to receive and sign for the delivery.

If you have a FedEx account number, just let us know the account number and we'll make the arrangement.

Call or fax us for a job quote. We will need the following information to quote your job: quantity, part number, when applicable smooth/fluted, size, finish (paint grade/finish grade) preferred material, and application (interior/exterior).

Wooden spindles for deck, stair and porch are ready when you order them!  We usually are slightly busier in the spring and early summer, but normally once your order is placed, it's just a matter of a few days.

All items, if defective, will be replaced without cost. 

We have a No Reject Guarantee – At Your Discretion. If you get a spindle that YOU think is a reject, please call us and we will send a replacement at no additional charge to you.  We are confident that your customers will be thrilled with the quality and selection of styles and designs we offer.

General Returns Policy

You may return new and unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. All items require prior authorization from us before they can be returned. We will also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (e.g. you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

Items being returned due to a customer error in ordering or handling will be subject to a restocking fee and freight charge. Read our full General Returns Policy for information on exchanges, and for further details and policy exceptions.

You should expect to receive your refund upon receipt of the product in our distribution center; however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we've received it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days). We will notify you via email of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

About our shipping….

S&L Spindles ships LTL (LTL means Less Than Truck Load) on most orders.

We ship LTL as it saves you the customer money by charging only the base rate instead of the base rate AND fuel.  If we charged you a Full Truck Load, we are required to add in costly fuel sur charges.

All of our shipping costs are based on a simple formula of the product weight and a class code set up by the freight carrier.  They charge us and you a class code dependent upon the size of the items.  Most of our shipped items fall into the Class Code 80.  Shipping costs are based on the per unit charge.

If shipping multiple items, it’s best to call us on 717-629-5838- between 6am and 4pm, Monday thru Friday.

One more important note:  LTL charges an additional fee for deliveries to residences, because, in FedEx’s opinion, most residences do not have a loading dock.  When possible, try to have your deliveries shipped to a business address.

Please allow 7-10 days on all LTL Deliveries.
